Restoring Hope Grant Application

Our heart, mission and vision are to significantly drive an organization forward, help organizations substantially, or fund an entire project/program for a year with the Restoring Hope Grant. The intention of our Restoring Hope Grant Award is to bring nonprofits financial resources to restore their hope as these organizations are often overlooked.  We are grateful for your service and look forward to reviewing your grant application to read about all the good you are doing with and for the people you serve.  Wondering if this grant is a good fit for your organization email us your questions at hopeandgracefoundation4u@gmail.com.

What you need to know about Restoring Hope Grants

 

Grant Requirements

Must meet the Hope and Grace Foundation criteria being tax exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) and that qualify as public charities under Section 509 (a)(1), (2), or (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

  • Population you serve (must pick at least one) Homeless, Human Trafficking Survivors, Orphans, Children, At-Risk Youth, Family outreach and intervention, Maternity Care, Veterans, and/or Single Parents, and Elderly and/or Mental health.

  • Able to submit the following materials via email or certified mail with your Restoring Hope Grant Application:

  1. Organization’s current 990 tax return

  2. Copy of IRS letter approving your 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt status and/or qualify as public charities under Section 509 (a)(1), (2), or (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

  3. Organization Operating Budget

  4. Audited OR Reviewed OR Complication of Financial Statements for the most recent two years. Statements to include a Balance Sheet and an income statement or Profit and Loss Statement OR 2 years of bank statements signed by Board Treasurer or Executive Director of organization.

  5. Please include a Governing Board Member Contact List with names, email addresses, contact phone numbers and mailing/physical addresses.

  6. Please include a letter of support from any collaborations that you are engaged with or will engage with for the program/project Restoring Hope Grant funds would be supporting.

  7. Other supporting materials or information relevant to your request for funding.

What We Do Not Fund

  • multi-year requests

  • endowment funds

  • individuals

  • scholarships

  • national organizations or statewide or regional branches of national organizations

  • political organizations

  • lobby legislation or influence public elections

  • travel expenses

  • mass mailing appeals

  • sports teams or golf tournaments

  • organizations with less than two years of direct service to the community

  • organizations that discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, ethnic or national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, pregnancy, leave status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, and/or any other characteristic or status protected by national, federal, state, or local law

  • general animal and environmental programs, except for educational outreach programs
